I've been really lazy the past few days. Super tired and just don't want to do anything besides clean and sleep. And eat. LOTS of eating. I guess that's the joy of being pregnant with a boy. I haven't really had any symptoms with this one, no where near compared to my first son at least. I've heard with boys you don't get sick, well with him I was sick every single day from week 12 to labor and delivery. I didn't actually crave anything, just wanted lots of chocolate, and anything else sweet I could get my hands on. I had gestational diabetes with him though, so I couldn't have the excess. I think I have gestational diabetes with this pregnancy too, as I get really weak and almost pass out if I don't eat any sugar, and I get an almost rushed feeling if I eat too much sugar. I was tested at 16 weeks and they said I didn't have it, little did I know I'd be tested again regardless of the early testing. I swear, they've taken more blood from me than I've ever even produced. I hope they're at least donating the stuff that they don't use after they get their test results. I mean seriously, is there a reason they take as much as they do per vial?! It just seems like so much for a few tests.
I guess its true what they say about pregnancies being completely different from each other. I think I knew both were boys before I found out, but this second pregnancy has been so different, I started to convince myself he had to be a girl. His daddy has two little girls from a previous relationship, and this is his third child, I figured there is no way he's getting a boy this time, wouldn't he get one on the first or second try? So he's finally getting a baby boy of his own, and he's been so good with my son he absolutely deserves it. He knew our baby was a boy too, but I was still worried. I haven't had but minor morning sickness. Any time I didn't eat within 20 minutes of being awake, I would throw up. I figured out what it was that was making me sick and I changed my eating/sleeping habits, so I haven't had it near as much. Sometimes if I smell something super funky, or eat too much, I get sick. I've had bad headaches with this one where I didn't have any with my first son. Lots of aches and pains and just general discomfort. I pee like an endless waterfall. I haven't craved anything with this one other than toasted subs/sandwiches. There is only one I've been able to find a great recipe for that I can't stop making and its posted on: http://thriftyniftymommy.com/2014/02/yummiest-toasted-turkey-sandwich-youll-ever-eat.html
We've been trying to save money to move out of his parents house and start a savings account. Once we get our income tax back we'll be able to move, but that will be sometime in May. I'm due June 4th, so obviously someone needs to be buying baby things! I'm actually almost completely done with buying everything though! All I really need is clothes and diapers! I plan on nursing, which will save some serious money. I guess I'm a lot more excited for this baby than I thought I was, because I bought everything without having to ask him for a bunch of money. I've only asked him for $20 for a fetal heart rate monitor. Frivolous, but I love using it! I've spent total probably under $100. And so far, I've purchased a bouncer, play mat, car seat with two bases, baby clothes, and a bedding set. We gave everything away right before we got pregnant so I've been searching sites like Craigslist, Ebay, Amazone, and Facebook "garage sale" sites, and have managed to spend very little on some really GREAT finds!! I'll post pictures next time I write, and show you everything and you'll understand why I'm so excited about everything! Okay, me and the two little ones are going to my grandma's house, so I'll try to get the pics on tomorrow! Until then, bye! :)
