This, dear everyone, is very obviously a Coach bag. Let me make some things clear about it. It is very apparently dingy in color in this picture, but other wise looks to be in decent condition. Recently I decided I wanted to SELL this Coach bag, since its been sitting in my closet for a year or something, and we need money for this baby. Originally I wanted $30, but was told I could get twice that, and obviously changed my mind because $60 for something I never use is great. I had it posted on a garage sale site on Facebook for a while, listed at $60, and no one was really interested. So I decided to just drop it down to what I originally wanted, $30. Figured it would need some scrubbing and what not, and I just wanted to sell it to buy more for my recent obsession. I'm gonna show you the inside now.
Wahh! No SERIAL NUMBER?! EVERY COACH BAG HAS A SERIAL! WHAT!
Let me show you a few reasons how I know this thing is real. If I am wrong, feel free to correct me right away!
I have read many articles on how to determine the difference between a real and a knock off. I've tried my best to provide a picture of all the zipper pulls, there are two actual zippers, and a tag. The tag says Coach. The zipper pulls do not. If all of them said Coach, it would definitely be a knock off. See the pattern on either side of the zipper and around the zipper? Its as if they just plopped the zipper down on top the fabric. Completely seamless. Same on the front, both the pattern on top and bottom are completely lined up around the leather piece in the middle. Also, either side of the leather that runs down the middle is a perfect mirror image of the other. The patch that is pictured above has rounded edges, where fakes almost always have the hard 90 degree corners. (LOL at my mac n cheese cup :p) I think the real icing on the cake for me is that I've had this bag through SO MUCH and despite the heavy usage, its still in GREAT condition! Please though, give me your opinions and comments below! Also, if anyone could tell me what year this thing is, and about what it would be worth, please let me know!
I decided to sell it for $30 because of how dull the color was, and how it looked kinda brown in natural and bright light. I ended up with at least 10 people that wanted to buy it, one who wants to meet today, so I decided to clean it up a little. After spraying the whole thing with Oxy-Clean and putting it in the washer on a rinse and spin only cycle (I wrapped it in a cushion-y towel to provide some kind of protection), I am very disappointed I didn't decide to take better pictures and clean it up in the first place. I think I definitely could have got $60 out of it, considering how much better it looks now! There isn't a single flaw on the entire thing, it really is in excellent shape. So ladies. What do you think? How much could I have sold it for? And would you ever put an expensive purse in the washer?! Lol. Let me know what you think!
